1851. No Edition Stated. Fully bound in brown leather with gilt lettering. Five raised bands to spine. Marbled text block edges and endpapers. Pages are lightly tanned with noticeable foxing with occasional markings and annotations. Tearing to edges of some pages with occasional loss. Some pages repaired. Title page is creased with chipping to bottom. Binding throughout remains firm. Scuffing to endpapers and pastedowns. Inscribed by previous owner to front. Boards have noticeable edge wear with corner bumping. Mild tanning to spine and edges with some crushing to spine ends. Leather peeling to edges and spine. Boards are marked and scratches, heavier to rear. Front board is rubbed. Gilt lettering is bright and clear.
