A Book of English Clocks

This early work on English clocks is thoroughly recommended for inclusion on the bookshelf of all horologists. It includes discussions of: The Beginnings of the English School of Clock-making, The Weight-driven Clock, The Spring-driven Clock, Clock-making in Sixteenth-Century England, The Pendulum, Clock Cases of the Seventeenth Century, English Clock-making in the Eighteenth Century, and Clock Cases of the Eighteenth Century (among other topics). Many old works such as this are increasingly hard-to-come-by and expensive, and it is with this in mind that this book is being republished now in an affordable, modern edition complete with a specially commissioned new introduction on the subject.
