This comprehensive manual presents the rulings, spirit, and subtle details of fasting (ṣawm) in Islam through the lens of the Hanafi school. Drawing from the Qur'an, authentic hadiths, and classical texts-particularly the works of Imam Abu Ḥanīfah and his foremost students-this book offers a structured and practical guide for Muslims seeking to deepen their knowledge and practice during Ramadan and beyond.

Spanning nine detailed chapters, the work covers:

• The virtues and objectives of fasting
• Moon sighting and the start/end of Ramadan
• A full description of obligatory and recommended acts of fasting
• Special rulings for long or indistinct days and nights
• Who must fast and those who are exempt
• Voluntary and disliked fasts
• What nullifies the fast and what is permitted during fasting
• The sacred Night of al-Qadr
• The laws, etiquette, and wisdom of I'tikāf

Whether you're a student of knowledge or a general reader, The Book of Fasting equips you with clarity, confidence, and a deeper connection to one of Islam's most spiritually transformative acts of worship.
