The Book of My Healing: A Journal of Recovery in 150 Questions

After watching a friend cope with cancer, and prompted by her own experience with a serious accident, Peggy Schmidt decided to create a healing journal. With six chapters and 150 questions that focus on such issues as the onset of illness, reflections on medical care, self-discovery, relationships, setbacks, and looking ahead to the future, The Book of My Healing is the perfect Thinking of You/Get Well Soon gift. The journal contains inspirational quotes and thoughtful meditations designed to help patients chart their progress, share their feelings with loved ones, and find peace and strength in their own important words.

Peggy Schmidt has worked as a newspaper columnist, book editor and magazine writer. Her articles on parenting, education and job search strategies have appeared in The New York Times, Child, Working Woman, Glamour, and New Woman. She lives in the San Francisco Bay area.
