The second (revised) edition of 1958, first impression; to the same design and format as the first edition. Very Good+: firm and square binding in sharp orange cloth, gilt text upon decorative brown blocking to the backstrip; faint mark to the cloth at the head of the spine; small stain to the fore-edge of the page block; creasing to the bottom corner of five consecutive leaves; else nicely crisp and clean. The unclipped dustwrapper (12s 6d net stated) is Very Good minus: bright and vibrant, with Minton's superb wraparound artwork showing well; modest toning to the spine; a stain running across the head of the spine and top of the front panel; minor loss to the head of the spine; half-a-dozen short closed tears (up to 2cm), sealed to the verso with professional mending tissue; presented in a removable protective cover. All orders are sent very carefully wrapped in bubble wrap and sturdy cardboard.
