University of Texas Press, Austin, Texas, USA, 1977. Book Club Edition (smaller size than trade edition and Book Club Edition stated on the Dust Jacket). Fine- in a Near Fine Dust Jacket. Appears Unread. The Text Block is clean, soft white, tight, straight and square, with no markings of any kind. The Binding is full gray-beige cloth (uniform color throughout) with bright black title, etc., on the spine, unmarked white endpapers, and all corners square and sharp. The Dust Jacket is beige with black, red and white text, colors uniform throughout, and is intact with one tear at the spine fold that has been discreetly closed from behind with archival (pH neutral) materials) and a few small nicks. See photos. xxi + 137 pages. 6 1/4" x 9 1/2". This book is the true fifth and last part of The Once and Future King, long unpublished due to World War 2 and the book's strong anti-war message. The Prologue by Sylvia Townsend Warner describes how White came to write this epic story and how he saw it in relation to Aeschylus's Orestia trilogy. Black and white drawings by Trevor Stubley.
