1874 RLDS Book of Mormon. Reprinted from the third American edition. Published in Lamoni, Iowa. Black blind stamped hard leather covered boards with raised spine bands and gilt lettering on spine. Light brown endpapers and speckled page edge. Some edge wear and spine wear of leather at extremities and surface of spine. Tiny crack at top where front board joins spine (about one half inch long). Front internal hinge is cracked at top by 1.25 inch (same area where the tiny crack in external hinge is found). Front and rear boards have some rubbing or tiny scratches with loss of black color. Bottom corner tips of boards bend slightly inwards. Pages have some age toning. Title page and next 6 pages have an area where there is some outer edge wear (i.e. small edge tears and edge folds--all of which is in the outer margin, text unaffected). Previous owner's name on front free endpaper. There are several dog-eared (folded) corner tips. Well- bound copy with clean interior having no markings, writing, underlining, or highlighting in margins or text block. Inv. # 13411.
