The Book of Ruth (Following God)

The study of Ruth is the story of one small, ordinary Jew-ish family. One family seemingly chosen among other fam-ilies during a very dark and chaotic time in Israel’s history when “every man was doing what was right in their own eyes” (Judg. 21:25). The land has been experiencing eco-nomic hardship due to a famine. Their circumstances are bleak, pressing them to make some hard decisions. Can you relate? The pressing question in the story is, “Will they trust God and walk by faith, or will they trust what they know and can see from their vantage point?” This is a question all humanity will ultimately have to answer, especially those who claim to know Him as Lord.
