A booket published by steel pen makers Perry and Co. Undated but an inked gift inscription inside the front cover would suggest 1891. Size: 16 x 12 cms or 6 1/4 x 4 3/4 inches. Page number including front and back covers: 12. With colour illustrations by R. Simkin that depict Infantry of the Line at a Sham Fight, Infantry of The Line, Cavalry Trooper going through the sword and lance exercise, Band of 1st Life Guards, Scottish Soldiers, Drum-Major and Pipers of Black Watch (Royal Highlanders), Relieving Guards at St James's Palace. The old guard marching out. The Foot Guards, The Charge of The Royal Horse Guards, Cavalry Soldiers, Royal Engineers and Royal Artillary and H.R.H. Prince Albert Victor of Wales in his father's Regiment of the 10th Hussars. Condition: Very Good. The booklet remains neatly bound with thread. The cover shows scarcely any wear but there are a few faint marks - spots of foxing - on the back in particular. The contents are, but a few faint marks, and the aforementioned inscription, fresh and clean. A delightful little booklet.
