Book Three of Magick: Midnight’s Hour (Books of Magick)

With their house lying in ruin and after witnessing the unthinkable, Francesca and Lucian are whisked away to a remote castle to learn the art of magick. Hiding their true identities from the other children, they are told to keep their gifts a secret but there is a darkness in Lucian, an inherited evil that will not be contained. After the headmaster is viciously murdered, the school is on lockdown, but who carried out the deed? The dark shadow that stalks the castle grounds? The demon who watches from behind the innocent chestnut-coloured eyes, or the devil himself who has escaped from the underworld with one death already accredited to his name.
