Metuchen, New Jersey. The Scarecrow Press, Inc. 1991. First Edition. Large Octavo (8 x 6). 1176 pp. including a 231 pp. Title and Subject index. A monumental compilation of sporting booksellers' catalogues issued by dealers from all over the world. The listed prices are woefully out-of-date, but the physical descriptions of books are timeless; buy it for that. The author included many rare and difficult to locate titles in his listings. Many years ago, Don Conner, my late book selling colleague, would never go scouting without Hand's book by his side, just in case he found something unfamiliar. The book is bound in brown cloth with gilt titles on the spine and front cover. A nice book. Fine.
