Dark green cloth with titling gilt on the spine, and on the front cover with owl device, bevelled edges; gray-green floral printed endpapers. Very light wear to spine ends, cover corners, some age-related tanning to the page margins. This copy contains a signed note by Cleveland, Ohio based librarian and book collector, Charles Orr, regarding this book and The Rowfant Club, of which, he was a founding member, written on the reverse of the front endpaper: "The value of this little book is in inverse ratio to my admiration for Mr. Blades, who has done as much for book-lovers to whom the world owes a debt of gratitude for his painstaking researches in early printing [-] Charles Orr 1893.". With the color-printed Rowfant bookplate on the front paste-down.
