About Books on the Square
Books on the Square began operations in 1993. Today it consists of three buildings full of used and collectible materials. The shop is open Monday thru Saturday and by appointment evenings and Sunday. Virden is located on Illinois Route 4(the original Route 66), about twenty miles south of Springfield.
