Borderlines of Identity: A Psychologist's Personal Exploration

"Dr Frey is a psychologist who maintains
a small private practice in the Bethesda -
Gaithersburg area of Maryland. He received a
doctorate in clinical and developmental psychology
from the Catholic University of America in 1971
and has spent most of his working career as
a clinical psychologist and administrator at St
Elizabeth’s Hospital, a large mental hospital in
Washington, D.C. In 1989-1990 he and his wife,
Mila Freire (a well known urban economist), lived
for a year in Brasilia, and there he continued
his work with children, generating publications
concerning visual-motor development in children
and adolescents based on findings with both
Brazilian and American children. His interest in
philosophy and spirituality has grown over the
years, and he continues an old quest to integrate the concepts of Buddhism and
Christianity into the framework of science and contemporary psychology."
