Adorable, Untamed, and Unforgettable
Born Wild in Colorado captures the playful spirit and raw beauty of Colorado's youngest wildlife through the lens of acclaimed photographers Wendy Shattil and Bob Rozinski. Peek into the private lives of baby bears, elk calves, curious fox kits, and more, all thriving in the wild heart of the Rocky Mountain West.
Explore the Colorado wilderness through the eyes of its newest, wildest inhabitants.
Although assignments have taken Wendy Shattil throughout North America, she and Bob Rozinski spend most of their time photographing the Rocky Mountain West—particularly their home state of Colorado, where "a boundless supply of subjects will inspire us for a lifetime," says Wendy. They have photographed more of Colorado's wildlife than any other photographer or photographic team. Shattil's and Rozinski's award-winning camera work appears in hundreds of publications internationally and in twelve of their own books.
Wendy was the first woman awarded Grand Prize in the prestigious worldwide BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition. The team received the Philip Hyde Grant for environmental photography, Denver Audubon's Environmental Stewardship Award, Conservationist of the Year, as well as Business of the Year Awards from the Colorado Wildlife Federation. They were research associates for the Denver Museum of Nature and Science and twice were artists-in-residence at Rocky Mountain National Park. Shattil and Rozinski were named Grand Prize winners in the Texas Valley Land Fund contest and First Prize winners in the Nature's Best international photography competition.
Bob Rozinski has spent 30 years photographing wildlife. He and Wendy Shattil share their images with other nature lovers through numerous books and prints.
