Two elephant folios, 3/4 black leather and green cloth boards, gilt lettering and ruling, tan illustrated end papers. First portfolio contains title page in Dutch and French, followed by lithographed plates numbered I-CC (several on multiple sheets). Second portfolio contains lithographed plates CCI-CCCXCIII. Several plates are folded. Each plate is captioned in French and Dutch. Accompanying text volume bound in 3/4 black leather, 4 raised bands and gilt spine lettering, top edge gilt, gilt and brown silky end papers; LXIII, 696 pp, divided into three parts: Premiere Partie, Description de Boro-Boudour. Deuxieme Partie, Description des Bas-Reliefs Sur les Differentes Galeries. Troisieme Partie, A. Du Caractere et de la Destination de Boro-Boudoir, a Propos D'une Comparaison de ce Temple Avec d'Autres Edifices Sacres sur le Continent et a Java. B. Les Statues du Bouddha sur les Murs d'Euceinte et Sur les Terrasses. Text is in Dutch and French. Depicted by and under the supervision of F.C. Wilsen, with explanatory and explanatory text, after the written and printed treatises of F.C. Wilsen, J.F.G. Brumund and other records, edited and published by order of His Excellency the Colonial Secretary, by Dr. C. Leemans. Current stock occupies over 2.3 miles of shelving. We are active buyers as well as very active sellers, and supply entire reference libraries as well as individual titles. We ship books almost everywhere, with the exception of China due to restrictions. Our website mullenbooks.com maintains our entire database of over 150,000 titles dynamically, so you can submit "wants" for books which are listed, but not currently in-stock. If your shipment is over 4 lbs. it will be adjusted before shipping.
