A sampling of articles: Chemical Examination of Urine; Why Teeth Decay; Effect of Electricity on Plants; Peat Bogs; Milk Adulteration; Pork Packing; Nitrogen in Soil; Medical Treatment of Children. The Boston Journal of Chemistry ran from 1866 to 1880 with the former title: Boston Journal of Chemistry and Pharmacy; July 1866-May 1867, and later as Boston Journal of Chemistry and Popular Science Review. OCLC: 2258521. Five newspapers dating January, March, May, June, July of 1874, (Volume VIII No. 7, 9, 11,12; VIX No. 1), 9 1/2 x 12 1/4", approx. 20pp each, string bound, numbered consecutively, many advertisements, original folds, small blue address label affixed to front of 4 issues (Dr. F.K. Morton). Dusty, slt. toned, very readable.
