#231/300 copies of this edition. 1/2 beige leather with green cloth covers, TEG, deckled edges (some pages uncut), illustrations, maps (some in color), fold-out letters and other ephemera. A beautiful edition of the Life! Spines are finger smudged and frayed, with splits and tears, at top and bottom;covers have finger smudges; Vol. III and VI have splits down the sides, on the latter the backing is beginning to come loose. One hinge beginning to loosen. Pages are clean and free of blemishes, bindings are sound. Proceeds from this sale benefit the Multnomah County Library in Portland, Oregon. This is not an ex-library set. Extra shipping charges will apply due to weight.

We provide supplemental funding for library programs and services, and sponsor activities which engage people who value our library. One of the main fundraising activities of our 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization is the sale of donated books, and since our founding in 1972, Friends of the Library has contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars to support our libraries via such sales.

For orders in the USA we charge $4.99 shipping for the first book, $1.00 for each additional book; books are sent via USPS Media Mail. We package securely. Priority Mail orders are $19.99 for the first book, $5.00 for each additional book. Larger and heavier books or sets, especially those being sent outside the USA, may require an extra shipping charge. We will try to contact you if there is an extra charge for heavier books.
