A nicely illustrated Victorian guide to botany. Featuring an illustrated frontispiece. Contains numerous illustrations in the text. With a bookbinder's stamp for S. Curtis to the front pastedown. Rev. C. A. Johns was formerly Headmaster of The Helston Grammar School, Cornwall. In a cloth binding. Externally, a trifle rubbed. Some splitting to the cloth and fading to the boards and spine. Internally, firmly bound. Some light foxing to the first few pages but otherwise generally clean. Good.
