A lovely, contemporary glimpse into the botany of the meadow, corn-field, hedge-bank, wood, heath, mountain, bog and sea-shore, as observed on the author's rambles. Written by prolific botanical author Charles Alexander Johns, who also held the post of head master at Cornwall's Helston Grammar School. Smartly bound in brown cloth. Externally, very smart with minimal bumping and rubbing and a few marks. Internally, firmly bound. A generally bright and clean edition with the odd spot and a more sizeable tide mark affecting the last twenty pages. Very Good.
