Very scarce edition, sixth impression, in original publisher's cloth binding of this educational botany book.First published in 1909, this book is intended to help students study to get into university. Contents include photosynthesis, buds, the rose family, and transpiration.Francis Cavers was a British botanist and bryologist. He was a professor of Biology at Hartley University College, Southampton. His other works include Practical Botany, Plant Biology, and Life Histories of Common Plants.Undated ink inscription and ink name stamp from prior owner's to the first free endpaper.With illustrations within the text throughout. In original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. Some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and some minor bumping to the extremities. There is some wear to the head of the spine. The front hinge is starting but firm. Undated ink inscription and ink name stamp from prior owner's to the first free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean. Very Good.
