The boundary element method (BEM) is a modern numerical technique, which has enjoyed increasing popularity over the last two decades, and is now an established alternative to traditional computational methods of engineering analysis. About the Author

Mohammad Aliabadi is former Vice President and Head of Physical Education Organization of Iran. He was also President of the National Olympic Committee of Islamic Republic of Iran from 2008 to 2014.
