About the Author
Richard Kingsmore received a BM degree in Music Theory and Arranging from the University of Alabama in 1982, followed by further studies in arranging and composition from Alabama and the Eastman School of Music. He has performed on keyboard with Truth and as a free lance musician for Disney World and other theme parks and resorts in the Orlando, Florida, area. Kingsmore has worked as Music Associate in churches in Virginia, Alabama, Texas, and currently at Calvary Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, North Carolina where he resides with his wife Gina. He is in demand as a free lancer arranger/orchestrator. Singer/songwriter Chris Machen has been involved in Christian music for over 20 years. He and his wife Diane recorded for Word Records, Urgent Records, Discovery House Music and now record for there own ministry The Master’s Music Co. He is also a studio musician and actor. Writing has been an integral part of Chris’ ministry having written songs recorded by artist such as the Imperials, the Gatlin Brothers, Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, Steve & Annie Chapman, Steve Amerson and Luke Garrett. Chris’ songs have been used widely in church choral music from anthems like ’I Have Seen the Light,’ ’Bow the Knee,’ ’God is Able,’ ’The Weight of the Cross,’ ’God Still Moves,’ and over 500 more. Musicals have been a part of Chris’ efforts including the current Bow the Knee-A Dramatic Easter Musical. As an independent writer, Chris has had songs in the catalogs of Lillenas, Word, Lifeway, Brentwood-Benson, Hal Leonard, Shawnee Press, Monarch Press and Warner Brothers. According to Chris, ’It’s all about the Lord. Jesus said, ’If I be lifted up, I’ll draw all men unto me.’’
