In 1997, Bryan focused primarily on writing for the big screen. His most ambitious project was a motion picture screenplay set against the backdrop of a militarized universe plagued by maniacal villains and vampirical creatures. THE VILLIKON CHRONICLES became an award-winning modernized myth. The story transcended cultural and international boundaries, and was adapted into a graphic novel series. Bryan’s adaptation was dubbed as incredibly surreal, and the staunchest of critics revered it as an intelligent epic worthy of master storytellers. One critic even likened it to "the sort of tale that makes the Ten Commandments look like a child´s read."
Bryan continues to write in a variety of mediums, and occasionally appears at convention signings and plans for an eventual film franchise based on his sci-fi series. HELLBOX is a project planned as something else but took a roundabout way to becoming a book. Based on a film treatment drafted during the final year of Sean Delaney’s life, Sean Delaney enlisted Bryan to tell the only authorized story of his deeply rooted and much troubled relationship with the greatest manufactured rock and roll band of all time, KISS.
In much the same fashion as he wrote VILLIKON CHRONICLES for film before comics, Bryan began penning a screen adaptation (derived from interviews with Sean) titled HELLBOX. The book is a biographical story inspired by Sean Delaney’s claims that he had a hand in founding and co-creating the theatrics behind the legendary rock band KISS.
