Boxed In is a short story about 15-year-old Travis, a teenager trying to deal with a difficult family life. He lives with his father, who works a secret job for the government and never talks about what he does. Travis also lives with his younger sister, Molly, who seems to be better than him at almost everything. He feels jealous of her and also holds a lot of pain over the death of their mother, who died when Molly was born. Travis has never really forgiven Molly for that, even though it wasn't her fault.
