Rita Mayer, MS, MLS, has worn many hats as a teacher, a freelance writer, and a librarian in the United States and abroad. Her past work as a writer includes contributions to community and regional newspapers, magazines, and academia. She thinks her current role as a librarian is by far the most fun job she has ever had.Rita enjoys working with children, especially when promoting literacy, sharing a love of learning, and passing along joy through storytelling and music. She also enjoys working with seniors to build community and social connections, and with everyone in between by delivering award-winning library programs for all ages.When she's not at a library, she can be found singing karaoke, reading, writing, playing with her cat Junebug, or enjoying a nice cup of tea.
