Born on August 2, 1878, in Murree, Pakistan, to Arthur Ashley Ruck and Elizabeth Eleanor Ruck, she lived to the age of 100, passing away on August 11, 1978, in Aberdyfi, United Kingdom. In 1909, she married Oliver Onions, and during their marriage until 1918, she was known as Mrs. Oliver Onions. After her husband changed his name in 1918, she became Amy Oliver. The couple had two children named Arthur Oliver and William Richard Oliver.
