An exceptionally bright, clean copy of this now scarce book. Large octavo; red cloth boards with beautifully printed artwork to front and spine, enhanced with bright gilt lettering. All in superb condition, the spine with no discernible rubbing, and the upper board with minimal only signs of wear. Third Edition, 1913. A neat contemporary ink inscription to ffep. No prize label or other markings. A light speckling of foxing to page block edges, but none at all to pages, which remain clean and secure. With 374pp + 10pp adverts to rear, there are an additional 4 coloured plates, a coloured frontis. with tissue guard (pictured), and no less than 62 full-page b/w photographic reproductions, thus making this a very thick and profusely illustrated work.
