Bound in original blue cloth with gilt motif to front, however, at some point this book has had a new spine with the original cloth being adhered to the new spine. Cloth has scuffs and fading to edges and the spine has lost gilt colour. The plates have foxing to them but overall the contents are clear. A great insight into historic science for yound boys.
