The sight of stars in the sky, the taste of chocolate, the memories of a holiday, pain after you fall...all of these experiences are possible thanks to your brain.
Did you know that the information inside your head travels faster than cars on the highway? Or that electricity moves around in there? Your brain is mysterious―there is a lot we know about it and even more that we still don’t understand. With detailed illustrations and activities to challenge your brain, Your Brain is Amazing explores the inner workings of the most complex organ on Earth and how it makes you you!
Esperanza Habinger is a fan of science. She studied medicine and then specialized in child and teen psychiatry. Esperanza has always been interested in sharing this knowledge, and that’s why she’s taken part in many conferences through the Society of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She is currently the vice president of the Chilean Society of Bipolar Disorders, but what she is most passionate about is talking with kids and teenagers about how they feel and what problems they have. This is her first science book for young readers. Esperanza lives in Santiago, Chile.
