Brainstem Benny & the Automatic Adventure: Keeping Your Body Running Without Even Thinking: 2 (Think Like a Brain!: The Brainy Bunch)

Deep inside the brain lives a helper who never takes a break.

Meet Brainstem Benny, the quiet hero who keeps your body running even when you are sleeping, playing, or dreaming. Benny manages the automatic jobs that keep you alive: breathing, heartbeats, waking up, and resting again.

In this adventure, children discover that some of the most important brain jobs happen without us even thinking about them. Through playful rhyme and imagination, Benny shows young readers how their bodies stay safe and steady, working smoothly every single day.

This story introduces the brainstem in a way children can understand while helping them notice how their bodies breathe, calm, and recover.

Part of the Think Like a Brain!(TM) Collection, this story blends real neuroscience with social-emotional learning, turning a brain region into a friendly character kids can recognize in themselves.

Every book also includes bonus learning material for the grown-ups beside them: a Teacher and Parent Guide, discussion starters, hands-on calming and breathing activities, a kid-friendly "What Is the Brainstem?" explainer, and curated resources, making it a gentle tool for home, classroom, and therapy.
