David Gershator collaborated on Bread Is for Eating, a Reading Rainbow Feature Selection, with his wife, Phillis. They live in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Phillis Gershator is a former librarian and the author of several picture books. She collaborated with David Gershator on Bread Is for Eating, a Reading Rainbow Feature Selection. They live in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Emma Shaw-Smith, a native of Ireland, lives in Memphis, Tennessee.
