Break Point (Lonely Girl 2)

Someone is watching. Someone is waiting. Someone is ready to strike.

Fiona has always been the steady one - the police constable and teacher who notices the quiet child, the adult who holds the world together. But after a violent attack shatters her sense of safety, Fiona begins to unravel in ways she can no longer hide.
Twelve-year-old Lesley sees what no one else does. She knows the signs of fear, of slipping sanity, of a mind trying to hold itself upright. And even as Lesley faces her own very real danger - hunted by people she once believed existed only in her imagination - she refuses to abandon the one adult who has ever truly seen her. Through Lesley's eyes the reader discovers hints of a foreign criminal syndicate, and a political motive to kill. But the more Lesley is pursued, the more she and her friends struggle with nightmares, panic, and Lesley's creeping sense that the past is not finished with her.
