Between Breakdown and Awakening

This book brings a unique perspective that integrates psychology with spiritual explorations. It relies on professional knowledge and personal experience, aiming to inspire readers to embrace vulnerability as a doorway to awakening. The book acknowledges breakdowns as turning points and how these can be seen as signs of transformation and growth through crisis. It further views how both traditions (Eastern and Western) Interpret suffering. It unites psychology and spirituality and how modern psychology and ancient wisdom complement each other. It proposes a holistic model for healing and awakening. The path through healing could be assisted with practical psychological tools, therapy, journaling and mindfulness techniques. spiritual practices, meditation, prayer and surrender could also be used to arrive at a deeper sense of cohesion. This book draws on conversations and clinical encounters gathered over the better part of a year — interviews with people whose experiences our existing systems struggled to name, reshaped here to protect privacy but true to what they lived.

What I have come to believe, slowly and through evidence rather than conviction alone, is that healing was never meant to be only a Western or only an individual project. Long before psychotherapy existed, devotion and the disciplined love of the Divine were already doing some of this work — quietly reorganizing the self, dissolving what needed to dissolve.
