Following her successful Yoga for Mother and Baby, Julie Llewellyn-Thomas presents an unbeatable mind and body program to help women approach childbirth with confidence, starting with breath control. Yoga is the perfect way to prepare for labor, and the beautiful photography and concise instructions will help you develop a successful birthing strategy through exercise. Expecting mothers are coached through yoga positions-designed to refresh the body, calm the mind, and soothe the spirit-that help them stay in control. The strength-building moves and gentle stretches are designed to alleviate discomfort before, during, and after labor, and they can be done alone or with a partner. It's a gentle, non-stressful way to ease a new arrival into the world.
Julie Llewellyn-Thomas is a teacher of yoga for pregnancy and for mothers and babies for the charity Birthlight.
