But during the 1980s, Setzer re leased a pair of underappreciated solo albums that were occasionally infused wit h as much English Invasion and Byrds guitar jangle as they were with Setzer's be loved roots-rock sensibilities. The results weren't so different from what Chris Isaak would achieve slightly thereafter (if a good deal less slavish to their v arious musical forebears).
