Synopsis
If you want to understand what born again means; if you are fed up with the worldliness in the church; if you want to become what God created you to be; if you want to become the pure, spotless bride for whom Christ is coming; if you want to love God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength and your neighbor as yourself—then this book is for you. Being born again is being born from above. It is the most wonderful thing in all of life, for you receive God’s life in you. But what is it, how do you get it, what does it do for you, and what is its purpose? Few Christians have any idea. For many it just means believing in Jesus and going to church, and you can still live your life any way you want, but you escape hell and go to heaven. Such thinking is way off the mark and misses the life God has for you. Being born again is only the beginning of the journey. The goal is to be changed from loving self first to loving the Father first. He created us to have his nature of selfless love, that we bear his image and likeness. Those who don’t pursue this will be rejected at the final judgment. How would you live if you knew you could lose your salvation? How would you live if you knew that you could overcome all sin in your life? How would you live if you loved the Father with every fiber of your being? How would you live if you loved him more than yourself or anyone or anything else? This is the path to becoming the bride, the company of believers for whom Messiah is coming in the event called the rapture, being snatched from earth to heaven without dying. This book outlines the steps in that path and explains the various aspects of what born again is all about. The path is difficult and the gate is narrow. Only a few are willing to pay the cost of dying to self to qualify, but anyone can be among that few. This book shows how—it is both a manual on born again, and a call to wake up from sleep and rise to the call of the bride.
About the Author
Gilbert W. Olson is an ordained minister with a doctorate in theology. Throughout his pastoral ministry, he has served in multiple capacities, including as a pastor in America, as a missionary in Africa and the Philippines, and also as the academic dean of House of David Scripture College in Boise, Idaho. Now retired, he and his wife live in Meridian, Idaho, where he continues to write and teach.
