Copyright 1928: likely the year of issue as 1921 Chauvenet wines are advertised and the advert for Doctor Jean L. Barbeau surgeon-dentist shows an image of the ancient swastika. [The 1932 issue has 224 pages.] Numerous adverts as "this beautiful and exceedingly useful book is a gift to you, on the occasion of your marriage, from the manufacturers and other business concerns whose announcements appear within its covers" [p.8]. Primarily a cookbook (up to page 235) including cocktail recipes, then a variety of household instructions: flower arrangement, sewing, the care of your canary, on keeping furs, auction bridge and how to play it, marriage laws of the province of Quebec, to save a person on fire, care of the teeth & eyes, what every expectant mother should know.&c. - with corresponding adverts. Cover rubbed and faded; clumsy use of glue to hinge at title page and rear hinge. Ink notation to front endpaper: "printed when God was a boy". Short closed tear to one leaf; one recipe with inked check marks - else a tidy interior. Binding is sound. 10.25 x 7 inches. Seller Inventory # Books015200
