ND. Circa 1918 from the endorsement on page 5. Gray paper on board with black lettering. 114 pp. Illustrated. Endpaper advertisments. About near fine with bumped corners and edge dents and light cover spotting; interior has shadows from news clippings, page 74 has light scuff. Replete with local and surrounding area advertisements. Still attached are 6 of the original tear-out coupons with the 7th laid in. Also laid in is an ad for Yosemite Taxicab of unknown source. Published in accordance with the WWI standards as per US Food Admin. California, "The recipes in the Bride's Cook Book have been carefully examined By following the Wheatless and Surgarless recipes the Housewife is performing a patriotic duty" A very nice piece of CA history. Uncommon. OCLC shows 3 holdings. Bitting, 60 lists the 1911 & 1915 editions only. ; 8vo ; fair.
