Illustrated with lithographs in colour by Jean Charlot. 137pp., previous owner's label on first page. 17 x 27.5 cm. Shipping weight 660 gr. The novel is about several interrelated people who die in the collapse of an Inca-rope suspension bridge and the events that lead them being on that bridge. A friar who witnessed the accident goes about inquiring into the victim's lives, seeking a cosmic answer as to why each had to die.
