A very good copy. A handbook of 'general specifications, formulae and data for the design of cranes, bridges, foundations, and workshop buildings'. Written by the chief engineer to Sir William Arrol and Company iron works in Glasgow. This copy features Glasgow University stamps, but also a plate and inscription marking its presentation to the Engineering Society of the University, by one Sir John Hunter, presumed relative (sibling) of the author, and also Chair of the company until 1935. Black leather boards are solid, and content is tight and clean. 345pp.
