About the Author

Maureen R. Elenga holds a master's degree in architectural history from the University of Washington. She has written extensively about the history of Seattle's development and about the people and events that have shaped the Emerald City. In Bridges of Seattle, Elenga applies her understanding of the city's history to its most vital infrastructure and public works projects, the bridges that link its neighborhoods to the city's center.
