About the Author

Franklin Sherman is founding director of the Institute for Jewish-Christian Understanding of Muhlenberg College. He served previously as tutor and lecturer at Mansfield College, Oxford, and as professor of Christian ethics and dean of the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago. In 2010, he received the Council of Centers on Jewish-Christian Relations' third annual Shevet Achim Award for Outstanding Contributions to Jewish-Christian Understanding.
