The notion of fairness is familiar to everyone around the world. However, human knowledge about the puzzling nature of fairness has been very rudimentary for the past thousands of years. Mainstream thinkers have been interested in the issue of fairness mostly for what is fair and what is not fair and its consequence in public social affairs. Therefore, cultural reflections of the notion of fairness have been focused on the significance of fairness at the social macroscopic level with some minor attention on the impact of fairness on private relationships. Consequently, the spectrum of the fascinating dynamics driven by fairness has been pretty much missing in the literature around the world. This book provides an introductory discussion on the dynamics of fairness and its role in human civilization by and large. In this book, the dynamic and paradoxical nature behind the common concept of fairness would be carefully investigated, and accordingly, various fairness-related life issues would be discussed, which include the significance of fairness in a socioeconomic system, the fairness of development, the general denial of fairness and its impact on human life, and much more.
