Black cloth, top edge stained orange, gilt lettering and designs on the spine fairly robust.Concerning the author's career of acquiring a large variety of animals for American zoos and, yes, circuses and the such. Front board stained, scattered foxing. Previous owner's label on the front paste down and private library stamp on the f.e.p. , toning in the gutters, paper tab and corner crease from a binder's error on top of one sheet. Pages tanning, text clean.
