Bring Forth Your Record : A Guide to Preserving Spiritual Experiences

You can create the most important journal entry of your life in less time than it takes to compile a grocery list or respond to an email. When Jesus Christ visited the Nephites, He said, "bring forth the record which ye have kept," then directed them to write about the miracles they witnessed. Bring Forth the Record uniquely combines: • True stories to help you identify the tender mercies in your life. • Engaging methods to help kids and teens learn how to recognize personal revelation. • Fill-in-the-blank and multiple-choice questions that make it easy to get started. • Solutions for individuals who feel overwhelmed or inadequate. • Inspiring counsel from ancient and modern prophets. After years of writing instructional materials and personal histories, Rachel Matthews created this guide, Bring Forth Your Record, to help you access the power and blessings that come from keeping your own record of Jesus Christ.

After earning a BS degree in Professional/Technical Writing from Utah State University, Rachel worked in the software industry, creating user documentation and help files. Years of crafting instructional content prepared her to write a how-to manual that helps people overcome obstacles and accomplish specific goals. In 2013, she started her own business, True Story LLC, which offers writing, editing, and proofreading services to create and elevate nonfiction content. She has a passion for preserving personal histories and making family history documents more useable by combining multiple sources (journals, interview transcripts, and third-person accounts) into cohesive stories that will connect generations. She has also done pro-bono writing for the Utah Food Bank, the Utah Hemophilia Foundation, and the Logan Refugee Center.
