About the Author

I am both an optimist and a realist, a practitioner not a theorist. During my twenty-plus years with Dow Corning Corporation, I experienced how the quality of the workplace simultaneously influences both organizational performance and personal fulfillment. I experienced the lows - dysfunctional relationships, conflicting agendas and poor leadership - and was fortunate enough to play a role in creating new highs. Seeing the positive results in terms of bottom-line performance, customer service, relationship quality, employee engagement and leadership effectiveness was exhilarating. A more meaningful and productive workplace ensued, and I'm proud to have been a part of that cultural transformation. It was quite a ride. In 2002, with their new value-centered strategy successfully launched, I left Dow Corning, with their blessings, in order to reflect upon my experiences and share them with others. I created GTP Associates - Growth Through People - in order to assist others in Bringing Meaning into Monday, providing sustainable and practical ways to succeed in their professional, personal and spiritual lives.
