See photos for condition details. Hardcovers, two-volume match set bound in blue cloth with gilt on front and spine. Exterior show spotting and soiling along with edge and corner bumps/small tears. Spines are sunned and show chipping along top. Internal bindings are overall good though volume 1 shows a crack at the half title page which can be repaired if desired. Note: these are both ex-library and are stamped on the spine showing they are from the Medical Department of the U.S. Navy. Both books are also stamped on front and rear pastedowns "Bureau Medicine & Surgery - Mar 1, 1918". No other library markings found. Pages are tone due to age some foxing is present. Volume 1 has some dark spots in the front end page where the paper darkened, likely from having a slip of paper inserted and then removed at a later date. Both books contain numerous color and black-and-white illustrations. Preface states this is the new edition dated 18th June, 1915. Volume 1 contains 322 pp. and vol.2 contains 288 pp. (610 pages total plus glossary). Non-US sales may require additional postage as this is a two volume set.
