Boards. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. Second Edition. D/J unclipped (42s. net) shows general edgewear with a few closed tears, spine and edges sunned and generally dulled. Now under the protective plastic covering. For this second edition the author has thoroughly revised the whole text to take into account recent research into the history and workings of the two parties. He has also added a long new chapter on the profoundly important changes which have occured in the two main parties since 1955. He discusses the careers as Conservative leaders of Sir Anthony Eden and Harold Macmillan; and the seven-year Labour leadership of Hugh Gaitskell. Recent events are shown as throwing new light on the basic theme of this book. 694 pp.
