Synopsis
Just like every heavy hitter in the Bro Code Series, we’re not going to jerk around with light weights for getting toned up. We’re heading over to the heavy rack to get spiritually pumped up. We are in it to win it, and this is why I am so thankful to God that you are here. You were not born to suffer in the agony of past pain, shame or regrets. You are a king, priest and warrior.Bro, I’m thankful you’ve continued to invest in your life. Freedom from past pain is a process, but is worth the work. Have you read the first part of this challenge; Bro, You Free? I’m not asking to sell a book, but it will be very helpful if you’ve read the first part of this section focusing on breaking free from past pain. If you have already read part one, awesome, so let’s get back to work securing your freedom from hurts that have haunted you for years. I know it’s tough. Possibly the toughest fight you’ll ever experience, but when we look at the prize versus the consequence, then this is the best battle to press into. I have a dear friend who has served as my spiritual mentor for years. When I began to see the potential for victory in my war against the pain of a past that had kept me in bondage for so many years, I often asked why it had taken so long to understand the need to be free.Honestly, as happy as I was to finally see light on a daily basis, I was still resentful that it had taken away so many years of my life. Yeah, I know that kinda sounds ungrateful, but you won’t know the joy you’ve missed out on until you come out of the misery. My wise friend shared that it was my choice all along. Yes, Christ knew that I needed rescue, but He’s not going to force help where help wasn’t welcome. Once my heart cried out for Him, Jesus was there. That explanation immediately reminded me of;"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." Revelation 3:20Pretty amazing stuff inside, so lets get started, Bro
About the Author
Dr. Scott Silverii is a son of the Living God. Thankful for the gift of his wife, Leah, they share seven kids, a French bulldog named Bacon and a micro-mini Goldendoodle named Biscuit.
A highly decorated, twenty-five-year law enforcement career promptly ended in retirement when God called Scott out of public service and into HIS service. The "Chief" admits that leading people to Christ is more exciting than the twelve years he spent undercover, sixteen years in SWAT, and five years as chief of police combined.
Scott has earned post-doctoral hours in a Doctor of Ministry degree in addition to a Master of Public Administration and a Ph.D. in Cultural Anthropology. Education and experience allow for a deeper understanding in ministering to the wounded, as he worked to break free from his own past pain and abuse.
In 2016, Scott was led to plant a church. Exclusive to online ministry, Five Stones Church.Online was born out of the calling to combat the negative influences reigning over social media. Scott's alpha manhood model for heroes is defined by, "Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. Do everything in love." (1 Corinthians 16:13-14)
